Become an Holy Trinity Needler!
Do you knit or crochet?
Would you like to learn how to knit or crochet?
Besides the health benefits of these activities (relaxing, calming, centering) the end result produces something to share with another. As a labor of love done in a group you'll also receive the benefit of the group's collective wisdom, not only of the craft, but of life!
The "Holy Trinity Needlers" gather on the first Wednesday of each month at 7:00 P.M. in the Fellowship Room sponsored by the Women of ELCA, the gathering is open to the entire congregation: men, women, children, young and old!
The group project is prayer shawls. A brief explanation of the prayer shawl ministry can be found at: http://www. shawlministry.com. In addition to shawls taken to those in the hospital, or in need of comfort, shawls are distributed at baptisms and to the confirmation class.
If you don't knit or crochet, or are not sure you would be interested in learning how, perhaps you would be interested in delivering the shawls to those in need, or perhaps your contribution would be money to buy yarn for the shawls. If you have questions or suggestions or know someone who would benefit by receiving a shawl, please contact Millie Nikischer, Barbara Wozniak or the Church office |
