The Rev. Dr. Charles D. Bang ~ Senior Pastor
Pastor Bang came to Holy Trinity in 1983 after having served congregations in New York, California, and Massachusetts. Called to the position of Senior Pastor upon the retirement of Dr. Matthew Winters, Pastor Bang became only the fifth senior pastor in the 125 year history of Holy Trinity Church.
He is married to Deborah Edds, and they have two children, Kathryn and Sarah. Pastor and Mrs. Bang reside in the City of Buffalo on Windsor Avneue. Pastor Bang attended Hartwick College in Oneonta, New York, Pacific Lutheran Theological Seminary and the Graduate Theological Union in Berkeley, California.

The Rev. John A. Buerk ~ Pastor
Pastor Buerk graduated from Union College, Gettysburg Seminary and did post graduate work at Heidelberg University in Germany. He was ordained in 1959. Rev. Buerk retired as pastor of Parkside Lutheran Church in 2000, after 28 years there. Prior to that position he seved as Protestant Chaplain to the State University of NY at Buffalo for 7 years, and in the University administration, also for 7 years. He was an Adjunct Professor in the Philosophy Department.
He now serves in a part-time position at Holy Trinity Church. He is married to Jill Raisen Buerk, and has three children: Linda, Dietrich and Christian. John is also the Ecumenical Officer for the Upstate New York Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. |

James Bigham ~ Organist/Choirmaster
Mr. Bigham joined the staff at Holy Trinity in 1977. He is a South Carolina native and received his education at Erskine College, the Curtis Institute of Music, and the School of Sacred Music of Union Theological Seminary in New York City. This was followed by a year's study abroad in England and Germany. Teachers have included Frederick Swann, Alexander McCurdy, Robert Baker, George Thalben-Ball, Michael Schneider, and McNeil Robinson.

Linda Lipczynski~ Parish Secretary
Linda started with us in November 2007 as parish secretary. Her duties include, among other things, administrative office tasks, such as weekly bulletins, monthly newsletters, maintaining the council and committee minute book and updating the membership roll. Her previous employment of 22 years was with the law firm of Hodgson Russ LLP as legal secretary. She is married to Brian and has two boys, Kyle and Eric.

Carol Littlefield ~ Parish Accountant
Carol has been with Holy Trinity since February of 1987. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree in accounting from Canisius College. Carol is responsible for recording members' contributions, paying all the expenses, and tracking the church's investment portfolio. She is married to Marty and and they have two daughters, Caitlin and Claire.

Chuck Rojek ~ Pastoral Assistant
Chuck joined the Staff of Holy Trinity on January 1, 2002. Chuck and his wife, Sue, are long-time members of Holy Trinity, so Chuck brings to this position an excellent familiarity with the congregation. He is responsible for assisting members in their various ministries so their jobs may be more easily and completely done. He serves as liason between the rest of the staff and the congregation, working specifically with the Church Council and the various committees. Chuck also works closely with Pastor Bang by relieving him of some of his day-to-day administrative duties. This enables Pastor Bang to focus more on his many pastoral duties. Chuck is responsible for maintaining a "Master Church Calendar." He assists committees in setting up meetings and in the preparation of the monthly newsletter. He also works to develop new ministries within the Church.

Jeremiah Smith ~ Youth Ministries
Jeremiah Smith is a product of Holy Trinity's Youth Ministry established by former Youth Director Roger Griffiths. A dedicated member of the Lutheran Youth Organization in his younger years, Jeremiah took over as Youth Director September of 2009. He believes Youth ministry is one of the most important aspects of any church and looks forward to facilitating its continued growth at Holy Trinity. John Busch ~ Director of Buildings and Grounds
John has been with Holy Trinity since April 1994. He is in charge of and oversees maintenance functions pertaining to all buildings and property belonging to the church. Some of his duties include performing plumbing, electrical, heating and painting repairs. He is also instrumental in acquiring bids from contractors for future renovations/repairs and oversees contractors throughout these projects. As of December 2008, John retired as a Senior Master Sergeant from the Air Force Reserve.

Pat Mohr ~ Parish Nurse
A parish nurse is a visible expression of Christ's healing ministry recognizing the relationship of body, mind and spirit to health. The Parish Nurse Program reflects this relationship and helps the church fulfill its mission of meeting the needs of its community in the spirit of Christian concern for others.
Pat is a graduate of the University of Buffalo School of Nursing and have a Bachelors degree in nursing. She received her Parish Nurse training through Marquette University and in May of 2002 graduated from Christ the King Seminary with a Certificate in Pastoral Care. Pat is also a member of the New York Nurses Association.
She and her husband have been married for 45 years and they have 3 grown sons, James M., Eric M., and Thomas A. James is married and has one son of his own, Patrick, 1 year old. Thomas is married and resides in Leesburg, Virginia and has 2 children, Emily 3 years old, and Ethan, 7 months old. Eric is single.
She performs Blood Pressure screenings every second Sunday of the month at Holy Trinity before and after both services.
